ESPNIC Video Award
ESPNIC is inviting healthcare professionals to share the value, scope, practice and challenges of PICU/NICU nursing in the original form of short videos.
We would like to throw the challenge open to healthcare providers and our members around the world and see who can provide the most captivating videos.
ESPNIC Video Award
2020 has been named year of the nurse, endorsed by WHO. PICU and NICU nurses perform an invaluable work worldwide in the frontline of healthcare where children in critical illness are in need of specialized care. ESPNIC is inviting healthcare professionals to share the value, scope, practice and challenges of PICU/NICU nursing in the original form of short videos.
We would like to throw the challenge open to healthcare providers and our members around the world and see who can provide the most captivating videos. All entries will be judged by the ESPNIC Executive and winning videos will be added to the website. The authors will be awarded with a one-year free membership and congress entrance.
Please read the details below in full before submitting any videos.
Videos should be relevant to PICU or NICU nursing practice. This could include any healthcare professional, patient or family member during or after their PICU admission, even yourself. You can show any aspect of the PICU/NICU nursing work, including teaching, mentoring and research. Whatever the subject of the video, it should convey a positive message. Please do not send videos that would be inappropriate or difficult for members of the general public to view.
Quality standards and format
Videos should be no longer than 3 minutes.
If your video contains people, you must obtain their consent for the video to be used by ESPNIC and include a scan of a signed consent form (see the last page of this document) for each identifiable person in the picture. Videos of people sent without signed forms will be disregarded because those videos cannot be used. Furthermore, you should sign an agreement allowing ESPNIC to use the video indefinitely on the website. Please also include a scan of this document with your video(s).
If your video is not in English language, please provide a written translation or subtitles on the video itself.
Send one file for each video.
With each video, please provide the following information:
• Your name, city and country
• A brief explanation of the video – the story behind it
• Your contact information
• Your signed agreement (details above)
• If applicable, a signed Consent Form for each identifiable person.
• If applicable, a written translation
Send your videos to firstname.lastname@example.org by Wetransfer, Dropbox or similar system (the video extension can be avi, mpg or other). The deadline for this competition is August 31th, 2020.
Submissions open: February 15th, 2020
Submissions closed: August 31th 2020
Announcement: EAPS 2020.
Selection process. A committee consisting of the Nursing Presidents, Nursing Science and PICU NICU Nursing Sections Chairs, Vice-chairs and selected members from the EC will evaluate the submitted videos. The winners will be notified by email and the final announcement will be made at EAPS 2020.
